A Gypsy's Headband

Colonia Suiza, Patagonia, Argentina

In the hour between the building of the curanto fire and digging out the food, I wandered around the village of Colonia Suiza. I was attracted to the beautiful colors of these weavings. I bought two headbands to give to my girls upon my return from Argentina.

The artist was a delight, kind, and engaging. I asked her to demonstrate the many ways to wear her fashion.

One additional lesson I have learned - ask people their name. I cannot tell you her’s. I will always remember this precious moment. The video tells the story of this beautiful person.
